I don't mind this at all, I just wish that people would stop complaining. They are popular for a reason. If they just randomly made something up and had no feed back, it would be a stab in the dark. Anyway, they are legendary deviant art pieces of art work. You have seen them a lot because they are so popular.
I think that is the reason why dA decided to do that. I'm sure there will be more that will come out in a second series.
Anyway, don't bash the artist's who made the posters. They have feelings too, and they care about their work.
How would you like getting comments every day about how you don't like their work?
If you don't like it, keep your mouth shut. It is worthless to put a negative comment on here, it doesn't help anyone at all.
I'd love DA art in my room, it's just so expensive.. and these affordable choices, well, .. not on my wish list, though they're great.. ^^ (yay, I'm picky about what I put above my bed). It would be great to have this option on more art! Plus, if you could build relations to printers elsewhere in the world that would also be very appreciated since the shipping costs make up such a great part of the price for us world citizens.. please at least think about it?
I'm not going to buy them for a few reasons 1) I've seen them WAAAY to many times, so quite frankly I'm sick of them. They're great pieces of art, they've just lost the effect on me. 2) Costs too much to ship to Australia. 3) Not enough choices.
If DA sets up something similar to the prints system then I would definitely consider it.
This isn't ment to be a "I hate you!" comment, just pointing out my reasons so that future systems can take it into account ^^
Try contacting the artists for prints. They would probably be thrilled out of their minds and would make more... just plan on paying a little more (printing and shipping and whatnot cost a little more if you're doing fewer prints, believe me, I know).
dA, I think this is a great idea, and limiting the number of posters produced like this is a fantastic idea. It gives artists something to work for. Count me a little jealous.
